$200 Million Borrowed to End Double-Track System — When Will We Stop This Madness?

The government has secured $200 million from the World Bank to end the double-track system, according to Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu.

But seriously, I don’t understand this endless borrowing. Sammy Gyamfi reports that the country has earned $10 billion, and yet we are still going into debt?

$200 million is no small amount, but with the level of corruption in this country, there’s a real risk it won’t achieve its intended purpose.

Why is it that for almost everything we want to do, we must borrow? What’s the point of all the natural and financial resources we already have?

Sammy Gyamfi said GoldBod made $10 billion, is that just on paper, or actual cash in the treasury?

It doesn’t matter who is in power or who is in opposition; politicians rarely put the people first.

Even when we want to stop a failing program, we still have to go and borrow. It’s pathetic. Kai!
