Abdul-Wahab Hanan Aludiba denies Attorney General’s corruption claims

Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO), Abdul-Wahab Hanan Aludiba, has dismissed allegations made against him by the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, describing them as false and politically motivated.

In a statement released on Thursday, October 23, Mr. Aludiba said the claims made by the Attorney General during a press briefing the previous day were “fabricated to malign my reputation and distract from the real issues affecting the agricultural sector.”

Dr. Ayine had accused the former NAFCO boss of using proceeds of crime from his time in office to acquire six luxury properties in Accra and other parts of the country.

The Attorney General alleged that preliminary investigations had traced suspicious financial transactions and property purchases linked to Mr. Aludiba’s tenure.

But responding to these accusations, Mr. Aludiba firmly rejected the claims, insisting that his wealth and assets were legitimately acquired.

“Every property I own has a verifiable source of funding. I have worked diligently for years, both before and after my service at NAFCO. Any attempt to associate me with corruption is not only malicious but also deeply unfair,” he said.

He further challenged the Attorney General to make public the evidence backing the allegations.

“If there are credible findings, let them be tested in court. I am ready to cooperate with any lawful process to clear my name. What I will not tolerate is the continued politicization of my person and achievements,” he added.

The former NAFCO CEO also questioned the timing and motive behind the allegations, noting that he has consistently supported transparency and accountability within the food supply chain.

“It is ironic that the same system I helped strengthen is now being used to tarnish my image for reasons best known to those orchestrating this,” he remarked.
