Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has condemned the Tamale High Court’s decision to order a rerun of the Kpandai parliamentary election, calling it legally flawed and troubling.
Speaking in Parliament on November 26, 2025, he accused the court of acting hastily and alleged that the NDC candidate was tipped off about the judgment in advance.
He questioned the integrity of the process, asking, “What kind of kangaroo judicial system do we have now in Ghana?”
Afenyo-Markin warned that such actions could undermine national stability and stressed that the Minority would not be silenced, even if called for contempt.
The court’s rerun order came after a petition by NDC candidate Daniel Nsala Wakpal, challenging the 2024 election results.
