A staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, has announced that he is withdrawing his support for Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy following recent remarks attributed to the artist.
According to KOKA, his decision comes after claims that Stonebwoy expressed willingness to compose a song to support the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in winning elections.
In a strongly worded statement, KOKA expressed his displeasure and called on the NPP to cease inviting Stonebwoy to perform at party events.

“I have withdrawn my support for Stonebwoy after his remarks about composing a song to help the NDC win elections. The NPP should stop inviting him to perform at their events,” he stated.
He further issued a dramatic warning, saying, “They will go for the equipment at the Korle Lagoon if Stonebwoy’s song is played at an NPP event.”
Some party loyalists have echoed his sentiments, arguing that Stonebwoy should not be rewarded after claiming credit for the NDC’s victory.
Others, however, have called for calm, insisting that music and politics should not be conflated.
Stonebwoy has not yet responded to the backlash. Meanwhile, the debate over the role of entertainers in politics continues to rage on social media.
