President John Dramani Mahama today commenced his one-day official visit to Paris with a strategic meeting with Gerard Larcher, setting the stage for deepened bilateral cooperation between Ghana and France.

YPresident Mahama was received with full military honours, underscoring the significance of the engagement. The two leaders explored key areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment, regional security, and collaborative efforts in the fight against terrorism.

Discussions also highlighted France’s ongoing support for maternal health and agricultural development in Ghana, alongside recognition of the notable strides in Ghana’s economic growth under President Mahama’s leadership.
Accompanying the President is a high-level delegation comprising Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, National Security Advisor Prosper Bani,

Secretary to the President Dr. Callistus Mahama, Presidential Advisor and Special Aide Joyce Mogtari, and Ghana’s Ambassador to France Mavis Frimpong.
Later today, President Mahama and his team are scheduled for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace, a meeting expected to further cement Ghana-France relations and explore new avenues for cooperation in investment, security, and social development.
