Guinness Ghana has announced a significant boost to its support for the country’s music industry with the introduction of a new annual prize package for the Album/EP of the Year category at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
Starting from the 27th edition of the awards, the winner of the category will receive a GHC 100,000 cash prize, funding support for the production of a music video for their next project, and a curated album listening experience powered by Guinness Ghana.
The initiative underscores Guinness Ghana’s commitment to championing creative excellence while contributing to the long-term growth of Ghana’s music ecosystem. By extending its support beyond awards night recognition, the brand aims to create sustained value for artistes and the wider creative industry.
Widely regarded as one of the most competitive categories at the TGMA, this year’s Album/EP of the Year nominees include Black Sherif (Iron Boy), Gyakie (After Midnight), Medikal (Disturbation II), Wendy Shay (Ready), Kweku Smoke (Walk With Me), and Stonebwoy (Torcher).

With this move, Guinness Ghana continues to position itself as a key stakeholder in shaping the future of Ghanaian music, backing talent not just with recognition, but with meaningful resources to elevate their craft on a larger stage.
