Ghana has emerged as the champion at the 2026 Robofest World Championships in the Junior Division after an impressive performance in Michigan.

The Ghanaian team triumphed over 25 other teams from 19 countries, outperforming competitors from nations including China, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, the United States, South Korea, Greece, Hong Kong, and Macau.

The victory marks a major achievement for Ghana in the fields of robotics, science and technology education, with many celebrating the success as evidence of the growing potential of young Ghanaian innovators on the global stage.

The Robofest competition brings together students from around the world to showcase creativity, coding skills, engineering knowledge and problem-solving abilities through robotics challenges.

Ghana’s triumph has since sparked excitement online, with many praising the students and their mentors for making the country proud internationally.
