The Executive Director and Head of Global Research at Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, has dismissed claims of bias in the organisation’s recent polls ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) internal elections scheduled for January 2026.

Speaking at the International Hausa Day celebration in Kumasi on Tuesday, August 26, Mr. Dankwah emphasised that his work is grounded in facts and data, not personal preferences.

“As far as we are concerned we believe in data… Sometimes I do a poll and I don’t feel well about it but that is not my view, that is the view of the people.

“So it doesn’t matter what numbers say, we will say it as it is. We have no interest in declaring somebody a winner or a loser,” he stated.

His comments come in the wake of a recent poll by Global Info Analytics, which placed former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the lead in the NPP’s presidential race.

Mr. Dankwah reiterated that the organisation’s credibility lies in reflecting the voice of the people and assured that their research will remain impartial despite mounting scrutiny.

Meanwhile, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will submit his nomination forms on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

The former vice president is expected to submit his forms at the party’s headquarters at exactly 8 am on Thursday.

He is expected to come in the company of his wife, leading members of his campaign team, and Members of Parliament who support his bid.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) opened nominations for persons interested in contesting for the flagbearership to pick their forms on July 29, 2025.

According to the party’s timelines, the final day for the filing of nominations is August 28, 2025.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will go to the polls on January 31, 2026, to elect a flagbearer who will lead the party in the 2028 election.
