Eric Adjei chides Afenyo Markin for politicking at Ernest Kumi’s one-week observation

Chief Executive Officer for the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has condemned the decision by Minority Leader Afenyo Markin to engage in politics during the one-week observation of the late Ernest Kumi.

While addressing the gathering at the one-week observation at Wenchi, Afenyo-Markin used the opportunity to remind those gathered of the wickedness of the National Democratic Congress.

He indicated that, as a political party, the NDC was shameless for deciding to contest the Akwatia by-election when the NPP had stayed out of contesting the Tamale Central seat to allow for national cohesion and unity.

To him, NPP must rise and ensure the Akwatia seat is maintained in memory of Ernest Kumi, who worked tirelessly to ensure that the seat was taken away from the NDC.

“The NDC has no shame; if they did, they wouldn’t have contested for the Akwatia seat when the NPP decided not to contest the Tamale Central seat. They would have said that because of peace and the betterment of the country, they would also not contest for Ernest Kumi’s seat. Funny enough, the lawyer who said he will ensure Ernest Kumi loses his seat is the same candidate they are presenting for this election,” he said.

But in a post shared via social media, Eric Adjei, who was a close friend of Ernest Kumi, condemned the minority leader for engaging in politicking at the one week observation of the former Member of Parliament.

His post read “How can true leaders use the one-week celebration of my late friend’s demise for their usual politics?

I wish they had championed the same energy for him when he was alive.

RIP. YAW”.
