The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of a man accused of inciting violence against public officials and government workers.

In a statement released on Saturday, September 13, 2025, police said they picked up David Kwodwo Prah Afful, popularly known online as Kwame Nkrumah the Second, during an intelligence-led operation near the Kasoa Market at about 2:20 p.m.

“The Ghana Police Service through sustained intelligence operations have today, 13th September 2025, arrested suspect David Kwodwo Prah Afful who was seen in a viral video calling for violence against public officials and other government workers,” the statement read.

The police further disclosed that the suspect allegedly used his social media platforms to issue threats against government officials, journalists, and civil servants, particularly targeting those who drive vehicles with official green number plates.

According to the statement, Mr. Afful also threatened to set markets ablaze while encouraging others to engage in similar acts of violence.
“The suspect is in custody and will be put before the court,” police confirmed.
