A 20-year-old man, Kwadwo Bright, has died after being stabbed during a fight over a plastic chair at a snooker centre in Ashanti New Town, Manhyia South constituency, Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred on Thursday, September 4, 2025, and reportedly began as a minor argument at the local snooker centre.
Kwadwo’s mother, Georgina Yeboah, said the dispute initially seemed to have been settled “but the suspect came back and stabbed Kwadwo in the neck,” she recounted.
People nearby heard the commotion and rushed to help. Kwadwo’s mother found him badly injured and immediately took him to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect remains at large, while police have launched an investigation and a manhunt to apprehend him.
