A Heavy-duty truck loaded with lumber has killed a nursery pupil at Adugyama in Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region.
The victim identified as Daniel died in a tragic accident on October 28, 2025 when a heavy-duty truck loaded with lumber lost control and killed the pupil at Aburaso near Adugyama in the Ashanti Region.
Two other children who were trapped under the logs have also been injured and are receiving treatment at the Bechem Hospital.
According to 3News sources, the child was trapped under cyber logs that fell from a long vehicle truck with registration number GE 9901-11 while on his way from school.
Residents close to the scene of the accident in an interview with the news team stated that the deceased was pronounced dead on arrival at Bechem Hospital.
“Daniel together with two other students were walking along the road back from school when the accident happened. The cyber logs on the truck fell from the truck while in transit but unfortunately, it fell on the children killing Daniel in the process,” a resident said.
The demise of the nursery pupil has left a family in mourning, and the community is still trying to come to terms with the tragic loss of a young life. Police has commenced investigation into the incident and have cordoned off the disaster scene.
