Former President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, hosted the five flagbearer aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for a breakfast meeting today, October 21, 2025.
A statement from the Office of the former President stated that the former President reminded the aspirants of the need for unity within the New Patriotic Party.
The former president informed them of his commitment to ensure that the processes are fair to all aspirants, reminding them of the need for a well-rallied party to wrestle power in the 2028 elections.
On their part, the aspirants acknowledged that they will ensure they have healthy campaigns which will not break the rank and file of the party.
In attendance were Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Ing. Kwabena Agyepong, Dr Yaw Adutwum, Dr Bryan Acheampong and Kennedy Agyapong.
Other party officials and senior members of the political party present included Justin Kodua, Hackman Owusu Agyemang, Danquah Smith Buttey, Akosua Frema Opare and Minority leader Alexander Afenyo Markin.
