According to the latest poll, NDC’s candidate Benard Baidoo leads by 53% and is likely to win the election.
The New Patriotic Party’s Solomon Kwame Asumadu lags with 47% in the latest polls.
The NDC’s 53%, according to Global Info Analytics, is propelled by voters who want development and SHS and tertiary voters who preferred Baidoo by a larger margin.
Akwatia goes to the polls to elect a Member of Parliament on September 2, 2025.
The by-election became imperative after the member of parliament, Ernest Kumi, died six months after he was elected in the 2024 elections.
The NPP seeks to maintain their seat, but the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has made lofty promises to the people of the constituency.
