A raging fire swept through sections of the Dodowa Market in the early hours of Wednesday, October 15, 2025, destroying several metal containers and their contents before firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) brought it under control. A devastating fire on Monday, October 13, 2025, ravaged parts of Yota Energy Company Ltd. at Shai Hills in the Greater Accra Region. Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) successfully contained the major industrial fire.
