Government has made available GHC130 million to resume the reconstruction of La General Hospital. This was announced by the Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh when he paid a working visit to the site on Thursday, October 9, 2025. The reconstruction of the La General Hospital has lingered since 2020 after the old facility was demolished. Construction started last year without a dedicated source of funding after more than 3 years since the project was abandoned.
