A ghastly accident has reportedly occured at Mile 40 on the Buipe–Kintampo highway on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. It happened when a Kia truck loaded with groundnuts collided with an empty trailer. According to eyewitnesses, the trailer, traveling from Bolgatanga to Kumasi, attempted to overtake the Kia truck, causing the crash. The truck, carrying eight passengers, veered off the road in the process.
