The Government of Ghana has announced a merger between AT Ghana (formerly AirtelTigo) and Telecel Ghana to stop mounting financial losses and stabilise the struggling operator. Joy Business understands that the payments were made on Monday, September 1, 2025, to investors holding these instruments. Ghana will reopen its embassy in Tehran on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, after a three-month closure triggered by escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.
