A man pretending to be a military officer has been arrested after allegedly stealing a motorbike from an okada rider at Kadjebi in the Oti Region. The suspect, known only as Roy, reportedly tricked the 24-year-old rider, Manasseh Tomey, into believing he was a soldier. According to Tomey, the man, dressed in military-style clothes, hired him on Monday morning around 10 a.m. to take him to buy waakye at Kadjebi Zongo. A 22-year-old US-based Ghanaian has been arrested and charged along with two others for the murder of a 21-year-old man during a shooting that occurred in the 15200 block of Potomac Town Pl in Woodbridge (22191) on 2nd October, 2025. Some scrap dealers in Takoradi, claiming to be supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), are demanding refunds of GH¢330,000 each from party executives after their scrap operations at the Takoradi railway station were halted by National Security personnel. The Ministry of Defence has announced that Ghana’s Presidential jet is currently undergoing final maintenance procedures in France before its return home. The Ministry says the aircraft is undergoing a leak test of its fuel tanks, a third engine ground run, painting of the wing’s lower panel, and an acceptance flight test as part of the final checks.
