Black Queens midfielder Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah has joined second-tier side Nottingham Forest Women on a two-year deal.
Chantelle signed the deal from fellow Women’s Super League 2 side London City Lionesses.
The former England U-19 and U-23 player expressed excitement about the deal.
“I’m excited to join the club and play with this group of players,” she said.
“The team had an incredible season last year – history is being created here and I’m grateful that I can be a part of continuing to build something special at the club.”
Chantelle started her career at Everton’s Centre of Excellence before making her WSL debut in 2013.
After eight years with the Toffees, she moved to Aston Villa Women in 2021 before joining Lionesses.
Nottingham Forest Women coach Carly Davies knows the qualities of her new player, having worked with her previously.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Chantelle to the club. Having worked with Chaney previously I know the quality, experience and versatility she brings.”
Carly Davies later added: “She will bring a wealth of knowledge and attacking threat to our team.
“Her ability to influence games, both with and without the ball, will be a huge asset as we continue to push for success. We are excited to see her in the Garibaldi Red.”
Chantelle was pivotal in the Black Queens’ squad that won Bronze at the recently-held Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
She was named Player of the Match in that 4-1 final group-game win over Tanzania.
