Sports Minister Kofi Adams has assured the people of Ghana that the Black Stars will bounce back in their encounter against Mali.
He made this known after his visit to the team ahead of the Monday encounter in Accra.
The Minister indicated that the team has identified where they fell short and have worked on ensuring that they put smiles back on the faces of Ghanaians.
He made this known through a post shared via social media.
The minister said, “This afternoon, I spent time with the Black Stars at their camp. It wasn’t a formal visit; I went there as a Ghanaian who, like many of you, was disappointed by the draw but still believes in this team.
I told the players and technical staff that I wasn’t there to criticise. I came to listen, to understand, and to show support. These are some of our best talents, with global experience and national pride. They carry the hopes of millions, and I know they can bounce back.
The team acknowledged what went wrong and assured me they are focused on putting things right. The head coach was clear they’ve taken lessons from the game and are determined to give everything on Monday.
Difficult moments come in football, but what matters is how you respond. Ghana is watching. Ghana is hopeful. And Ghana believes”.
