Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has inaugurated the newly constituted Board of Directors of the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), urging members to work collectively in advancing the Authority’s mandate and supporting its Chief Executive, Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould.
Mr. Debrah praised Mr. Mould as “innovative and progressive,” emphasizing MiDA’s central role in delivering on government’s development priorities.
The 11-member board is chaired by development expert Charles Abugre Akelyira and includes five ministers of state: Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson (Finance), John Abdulai Jinapor (Energy), Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey (Gender, Children and Social Protection), Dr. Dominic Ayine (Attorney General and Justice), and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare (Trade).
Other members are Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould, John Awuah (Private Enterprise Foundation), Ralph Mawuenyega Kojo Ayitey (Association of Ghana Industries), and Ing. Dr. William Amuna.
Speaking on behalf of the chair, Energy Minister John Jinapor pledged the board’s commitment to supporting President John Dramani Mahama’s “reset agenda.”
“We are poised to help the President achieve his reset agenda, and we will do everything possible to accelerate the economic growth of the country,” he said.
The new board is expected to provide strategic leadership and oversight for MiDA, ensuring its programs align with government’s broader development vision.
With the inauguration, MiDA enters a new phase of collaborative effort aimed at driving progress and advancing Ghana’s development aspirations.
