Parts of Kantamanto have been razed by a raging fire in the early hours of Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, 8 fire engines are currently on the scene working to ensure that the fire is brought under control.
The cause of the fire is currently not known but a Facebook post by the Ghana National Fire Service said “Firefighters are battling a blaze in clothing bale warehouse in Kantamanto”.
We cannot readily report if there are casualties however, properties counting into millions of cedis have been lost in the fire.
This is not the first time in this year Kantamanto has had to deal with market fires.
