Belgian football icon Eden Hazard has been officially inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, joining former Manchester United defender Gary Neville as the two players selected for induction this year by the 24 existing Hall of Fame members.

The honour celebrates players who have made outstanding contributions to the league, and Hazard’s inclusion comes as recognition of his incredible influence and artistry during his years in England.

Created in 2020, with the first inductions taking place a year later, the Hall of Fame honours individuals who have enjoyed exceptional success and made significant contributions to the Premier League since its inception in 1992.

Hazard arrived at Chelsea in 2012 from Lille and quickly became one of the Premier League’s most electrifying talents. Known for his mesmerizing dribbling, close control, and ability to create something out of nothing, the Belgian playmaker was the heartbeat of Chelsea’s attack for seven seasons. During that time, he made 245 Premier League appearances, scoring 85 goals and providing 54 assists.

His individual accolades are as impressive as his statistics. Hazard was named the Premier League Player of the Season in 2014–15, helping Chelsea secure the title under José Mourinho. He also played a vital role in Chelsea’s 2016–17 title-winning campaign under Antonio Conte, further cementing his reputation as one of the league’s finest players.

Beyond numbers, Hazard’s brilliance was defined by his flair and consistency. He produced countless unforgettable moments — dazzling solo runs, clutch goals, and performances that lifted fans from their seats. His inclusion in the Hall of Fame is a fitting tribute to a player who brought joy, excitement, and world-class quality to English football.

Hazard becomes the sixth Chelsea legend to be inducted, alongside Petr Cech, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, and has received an engraved medallion marking his induction and a £10,000 donation made by the Premier League to a charity of his choice.

Eden Hazard’s name now sits among the legends of the Premier League — a well-deserved recognition for one of the game’s true entertainers.
