Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has confirmed the arrival of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Ghana for a three-day State Visit.

“An honour to welcome the President of Germany, His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to Ghana on behalf of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama,” Ablakwa announced in a post sighted by Lovinghananews.com.

“Ghana is absolutely elated to host the German President on a three day State Visit.

The inseparable bond between Ghana and Germany is about to get even stronger and more beneficial to the citizens of our two countries. God bless Ghana and Germany.”
President Steinmeier’s visit will include a Guard of Honour at the Presidency, a private meeting with

President John Dramani Mahama, and bilateral talks between both governments.
Discussions are expected to center on trade, investment, technology, and development cooperation.

The itinerary also includes a State Luncheon, a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to lay a wreath, an engagement with young Ghanaian IT professionals, and a reception at the residence of the German Ambassador.
