Hon Member of Parliament for Wa West, Toobu Lanchene Peter has described the decision to grade senior high schools in Ghana as discriminatory.

He argues that since all schools write the same exams, it is imperative that they are all in the same grade.

Making this position known in a Facebook post, the Wa West Member of Parliament said all the senior high schools must be graded as Ghana schools with no alphabetical differentiation between them.

His post read “All SHS in Ghana should be GRADE “GHANA SCHOOLS”. Grades A, B, C & D schools are discriminatory. The students write the same exams“.

In Ghana, senior high schools are graded based on their infrastructure and performance over the years.

The Computerised Placement System in Ghana places students wih excellent grades in Grade A and B, especially while the average performers are placed in C and D respectively.
