The Member of Parliament for Ada, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, has stirred the political pot with a striking analogy that has set social media ablaze.
Drawing a sharp contrast between the two major political parties, the veteran lawmaker didn’t mince words.
According to her, if all politicians are considered dishonest, then there are degrees to the crime.
“If politicians are crooks, then NDC are mere pickpockets, while NPP are armed robbers,” she declared.
The comment, delivered in her characteristic no-nonsense style, has since triggered intense debate online.
Some interpret it as a candid admission of wrongdoing within her own party, while others see it as a metaphorical way of saying both parties have issues, just at different scales.
Cudjoe-Ghansah, who has represented the Ada constituency since 2012 and currently serves as First Deputy Majority Whip, is known for speaking her mind.
Whether this remark will cost her politically or simply add to her reputation as a straight talker remains to be seen.
