The founder and leader of the Church of Divine Heart in Nkoranza, in the Bono East Region, Apostle Anthony K. Manu (Sofo Alhassan, the Spiritual CID), has acknowledged the importance of celebrating Easter, as a memorable event for Jesus Christ’s death, and resurrection.
Advocating the significance of Christ’s death, the Spiritual CID highlighted the need to observe the occasion of Easter.
“Man sinned and needed an intervention to help from the presentation of animals as sacrifice to cleanse our sins, but Jesus, the son of God replaced himself with the symbolic animals.
We need to glorify this intervention”, Sofo Alhassan (Spiritual CID) bemoaned. He further details that all believers should depict the forgiven status of God by valuing the death of Christ symbolizing God’s forgiveness of our sins.
In an exclusive interview with Fabea FM’s Apiah-Kubi, he quoted Colossians 3:12 as a building point for Christians to take part in remembrance to forgive our sins.
Sofo Alhassan noted that the gathering during Easter days is part of Christians’ activities to commemorate the death of Christ and the importance.
The Apostle encouraged Christians to use this period to reflect on their lives, seek forgiveness, and renew their commitment to God.
“As we celebrate Easter, let’s not just stop at the resurrection story, but also reflect on the sacrifice that made it possible,” he added.
He urged believers to show gratitude for God’s love and mercy, and to extend forgiveness to others just as Christ forgave humanity.
The Spiritual CID also emphasized the importance of unity and love among Christians, saying it’s a key aspect of truly honoring Christ’s sacrifice.
