A tragic love triangle confrontation has claimed the life of a 36-year-old man, Emmanuel Somiah, in Mpasatia, Atwima Mponua District.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 23, 2025, when Emmanuel reportedly visited the home of his girlfriend, Cynthia Nyarko, around 5 p.m. to collect some belongings. Unexpectedly, he met another man, identified only as Jeff, who was also at Cynthia’s residence.
Eyewitnesses say a heated argument quickly broke out between the two men, escalating into a violent struggle.
“We heard shouting and scuffling from the house, then suddenly it went quiet. When I entered, Emmanuel was lying motionless. Cynthia claimed she didn’t know what had happened,” one witness recounted.
Emmanuel was rushed on a tricycle to a nearby health facility but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have since arrested Cynthia Nyarko to assist with investigations, while a manhunt is underway for Jeff, who allegedly fled the scene immediately after the incident.
The Atwima Mponua District Police Command has assured residents that a full-scale investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding Emmanuel’s death.
