Acting Director-General of the Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh

The National Service Authority (NSA) says it has identified data mismatch as a major challenge being experienced by applicants.

This is contained in a press release signed by the Director-General of the NSA, Ruth Dela Seddoh.

“Following the announcement and opening of the National Service Portal on Wednesday, 8th October, 2025, the attention of Management has been drawn to a number of issues related to the ongoing online registration exercise for the 2025/26 batch. Key among the issues is the inability of some prospective national service personnel to register on the portal due to data mis-match,” the press release dated October 9 indicated.

“At the moment, the Authority can report that incorrect Date of Birth (DOB) and Name(s) have been identified as the major setback,” it added.

The NSA therefore asked applicants to do the following:

I. That where the details of a prospective national service personnel, as submitted by his/her tertiary institution, does not match with his/her Ghana Card, the personnel in question MUST swear an affidavit, gazette it and submit same to the school. The school will then forward the details to the Authority to amend its records, thereby allowing the personnel to register.

II. In the event where the details of a prospective national service personnel as submittal by his/her tertiary institution was wrongly captured by the said tertiary institution, the prospective national service personnel must notify the institution of the error. The tertiary institution shall rectify the error and communicate same to the Authority.

III. Tertiary institutions should submit corrected details via classlist@nss.gov.gh and copy in tweneboakkodua.nss.gov.gh.

The NSA assured that it “is committed to ensuring that all eligible prospective personnel duly register to undertake their mandatory national service in areas of national priority for national development.”

“In case of further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our District and Regional offices for the necessary support. Alternatively, you may please contact our support services at the Head Office,” it urged.
