The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Nkoranza Technical Institute (NTI) in the Bono East Region, has cut sod for the commencement of constructing a 4-Unit Staff Bungalow to address staff accommodation deficit in Nkoranza Technical Institute.

The sod-cutting ceremony, held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, was presided over by the Ghana TVET director for Bono East Region, Mr. Appiah Kubi Bismarck, the Principal of Nkoranza Technical Institute, Ohene Boateng Andrews, and the PTA Chairman, Kumah Adjei Patrick, including their entourages.

Speaking at the sod cutting event, the Bono East Regional Ghana TVET service director, Mr. Appiah Kubi Bismarck highlighted the Technical school’s rapid growth and the pressing need for staff accommodation.

He added that it is his pleasure to see the departments collaborating to put up the well needed bungalow.

“Nkoranza Technical Institute is growing and we have a serious deficit on staff accommodation for teaching staff,” he noted.

He commended the PTA for the vision of the strategic plan to accommodate staff which they have been working tirelessly for the past years to make it a reality.

On behalf of the director general of Ghana TVET service, I approved the commencement of the proposed teachers bungalow.

He finally expressed gratitude to the management and Parents for their support in continuously improving and advancing the Institute.

The Institute has partnered with the parents to execute the project.

“The construction of the 4-Unit proposed staff bungalows will be constructed by the students from the variousdepartmentsthe institution”, the Principal, Ohene Boateng Andrews stated.

The project is expected to be completed within six months and will be funded by the PTA.

Speaking in an interview with Fabea FM’s Apiah-Kubi, the Chairman for the PTA, Kumah Adjei Patrick stated that they are poised to ensure that the work is completed as expected within the specified timeframe in order to help the institution resolve its accommodation issues.

He also mentioned that the necessary resources have been made available to them and they are ready to deliver a flawless job for the Institute.

Mr. Kumah highlighted the need for the construction of the bungalow to abate indiscipline with presence of teachers in the school, bemoaning that majority of the staff are not accommodated in the school therefore finding it necessary to gift the teachers bungalow.

He said he want the world to know what the students are capable of doing to exhibit what they have been taught and to gain practical experience.
