The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, has met with the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) for questioning over an alleged GH¢4 million bribe attempt.

Mr. Kotey was invited by the OSP after he publicly claimed that some influential individuals offered him GH¢4 million to stop the introduction of the new Digitalised Vehicle Registration Plate (DP) policy.

He arrived at the OSP earlier today and later left without speaking to the media. Mr. Kotey said he would share details with the public at a later time.

The OSP has said it is investigating the matter to confirm the claim and identify those involved in the alleged bribery attempt.

In a separate investigation, the OSP is also probing a member of the Council of State for alleged corruption related to gold trading and the possible misuse of his position to secure a gold licence for a company linked to him.
