Over 90% of our agents were rejected during 2024 election – Hopeson Adorye

Former NPP stalwart Hopeson Adorye has alleged that Alan Kyerematen’s independent campaign in the 2024 election was compromised because over 90 per cent of their polling agents were denied accreditation.

The United Party’s Director of Field Operations said many of their representatives were turned away from polling stations despite following official procedures.

“We wrote letters and even had Alan sign them, but most of our agents were still rejected,” he claimed on Metro TV’s Good Afternoon Ghana, monitored by Lovinghananews.com.

Adorye suggested that this contributed to what he described as widespread rigging during the 2024 election.

He said such experiences have influenced the United Party’s strategy to build stronger grassroots structures to monitor future polls.

He also warned that the party would not remain silent when attacked politically. “We won’t start fights, but if you attack us, we’ll respond and give you a double dose,” he said firmly.

Adorye promised that the United Party will run an active and visible political operation across the country and would not operate like “other small parties that go to sleep after elections.”
