Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has called on President John Mahama to take urgent steps to address Ghana’s growing unemployment crisis, warning that it threatens national stability.
Speaking at KNUST’s 59th Congregation, he also renewed his appeal to the German government to support SMEs in Ghana, stressing that job creation must be a national priority.
Otumfuo further urged the government to address KNUST’s staffing shortage by providing financial clearance to recruit more lecturers and administrative staff, noting that the current lecturer-to-student ratio is harming teaching and learning.
