Villarreal confirmed the signing despite controversy surrounding Partey’s ongoing legal issues in England.

Partey’s arrival is expected to bring significant experience and grit to Villarreal’s midfield.

Having previously played for Atlético Madrid, Partey returns to La Liga with a wealth of knowledge and skill.

During his five-year stint at Arsenal, he made 167 appearances and scored nine goals.

His two-year deal with Villarreal, set to expire in 2027. Villarreal has acknowledged the ongoing legal proceedings, stating they will monitor the situation closely while respecting Partey’s presumption of innocence.

Partey has denied all allegations and is set to appear at the Old Bailey on September 2.
