Two officers injured, police vehicles damaged in Kukurantumi youth clash

Two police officers have been treated and discharged by health professionals at the Community Hospital in Kukurantumi following a violent confrontation between the youth of the town and the police after a suspect known as Bright died while in custody.Buy vitamins and supplements

Personnel from the Eastern Regional Police Command Counter Terrorism Unit who were deployed to provide reinforcement for their colleagues from the Akyem Tafo police division were met with hostility from the angry youth who pelted stones at them.

The Toyota Tundra with registration number GP 4004 together with the official Toyota Hilux vehicle of the Eastern Regional Police Operations Commander all had their windshields destroyed by the angry youth.

Two officers who were hit in the eyes were rushed to the Community Hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

An angry youth who spoke to Citi News on condition of anonymity narrating the unfortunate cycle of events said the youth acted in their quest to demand justice.
