The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested two people for the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man, which occurred on Sunday, 17th August 2025, at the Asankrangwa Education Area in the Western Central Region.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a group of people, including the two suspects. chased the deceased and allegedly stabbed him multiple times. The attack is reported to have stemmed from a previous misunderstanding between the deceased and one of the suspects. Kwasi Opong.
Swift Police action led to the arrest of suspects Kwasi Opong, age 36 years and William Francis Osei, age 23 years, who are currently in police custody, assisting investigation. Efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect who is on the run.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Asankrangwa Catholic Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The Western Central Regional Police Command assures the public that all persons involved in this heinous crime will be brought to justice and urges anyone with relevant information to contact the Asankrangwa police.
