United Party will end NPP–NDC dominance – Hopeson Adorye predicts

Hopeson Adorye believes Ghana’s newly launched United Party can finally break the dominance of the NPP and NDC.

In an interview on Good Afternoon Ghana monitored by Lovinghananews.com, the former NPP member said the United Party, led by Alan Kyerematen, offers a “centrist” approach that takes what is good from both major political traditions.

“We are not left or right. We will take the good ideas from both and reject the bad,” he said.

Adorye insisted the party is not for “disgruntled NPP members” but for all Ghanaians seeking honest leadership and national progress. “Alan is seen as a refined and honest politician. People trust him,” he said.

The party’s long-term target, he explained, is to make Ghana an economic powerhouse by 2040. He outlined a timeline where the United Party aims to contest the 2028 and 2032 elections to transform Ghana’s economy within eight years of assuming power.

When asked if the United Party can attract votes in a system dominated by two major parties, Adorye was confident.

“We’re not going to be a quiet party. We’ll be active, visible, and on the ground. We’re building structures across all constituencies,” he said.
