Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, says Ghana cannot realistically expect monetisation from platforms like TikTok, PayPal and Meta while fraud continues to thrive in the country. Speaking at the Ningo-Prampram Education Directorate during the Teachers
Awards and Retirees Send-Off, he explained that persistent fraud is a key reason Ghana remains
blacklisted. He noted the contradiction where some critics oppose actions against fraud, yet demand platform monetisation, stressing that progress will only come when fraud is decisively addressed.
