Asante Kotoko are poised to defeat long-time rivals Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
The Porcupine Warriors come into this clash on the back of a 4-2 thrashing of Karela United at home on Matchweek 8. Just like the Phobians, Kotoko are also unbeaten this season, but have played fewer games.
In five matches this season, Kotoko have found the back of the net seven times. Karim Zito’s men have a slightly better goal per game ratio of 1.4 as compared to Hearts of Oak’s 1.0.
Kotoko opened their goalscoring account in the first league fixture with a 1-0 away win over Berekum Chelsea. Albert Amoah, who has since left the club, registered that winner with a powerful 79th-minute strike.
They were then held to a goalless draw by Heart of Lions at Baba Yara Sports Stadium before dispatching Bibiani Gold Stars by two unanswered goals in an outstanding clash. Peter Amidu Acquah and Amoah were on the scoresheet.
Another goalless stalemate followed when they visited Abrankese to face Nations FC. Their exploits in Africa ended in humiliating fashion, but they responded perfectly on their return to domestic action.
Two stunning long-range efforts from midfield maestro Hubert Gyau and a goal each by Seth Kwadwo and Acquah saw them bounce back to winning ways against Karela United.
Kotoko will face Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium this Sunday. Kick off is at 4PM.
