We must switch our mindset to solutions offering – Shamima Muslim

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Hajia Shamima Muslim has called for a shift in national attitude toward finding solutions rather than dismissing new ideas.

She urged Ghanaians to move beyond constant criticism and embrace practical steps toward progress.

“If we really want to build this nation, we must quickly switch our mindset to solutions offering rather than pointing out all the ways in which an idea cannot work,” she said on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana monitored byLovinghananews.com.

Her comments came during a discussion on the use of local languages as a medium of instruction in early education.

She pointed out that while not all teachers may speak the local dialects, the implementation must start with those who do.

“Start with the teachers that understand the local language in the early grade and let those teachers use those, use the local language,” she stated.

She emphasized that using a language children understand is an effective and proven teaching method. “To use a language a child understands to teach the child are not contested matters,” she explained.

Hajia Muslim reiterated that adopting such policies requires open-mindedness and a collective willingness to make them work.

“We must quickly switch our mindset to solutions offering rather than pointing out all the ways in which an idea cannot work,” she stressed.
