RNAQ’S LEGAL TEAM RESPONDS TO GODFRED DAME’S LETTER TO THE MEDIA

The legal team of billionaire businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye (RNAQ) has officially responded to a letter his ex-wife’s lawyers put out to the public regarding his recent interview on national television.

Lawyers for Joana Quaye pushed back against claims made by Richard Nii Armah Quaye (RNAQ) in a recent media interview, insisting that records show he “had none of the properties he owns now” before their 2010 marriage.

The lawyers criticised the timing of the interview, noting that it was granted while appellate proceedings are active, citing that RNAQ made allegations that unfairly castigated the reputation of Joana Quaye.

They described it as “an effort to unfairly prejudice the minds of the public” and to “undermine and impede a fair administration of justice.”

Responding to this, RNAQ’s lawyer indicated

“Regarding your blanket accusation of abuse of your client by our client, we reiterate that our client has consistently maintained that he has never abused your client and this has been affirmed by the High Court when a submission of no case was upheld in its decision dated 27th November 2025 and intituled Richard Nii Armah Quaye v the Republic, Suit No E12/272/2023.

Paragraph 10 above is repeated, and we state that a simple interrogatory into the matters by your good self would have exposed the fact that your client’s claims of abuse were clearly unfounded and indeed found to be false by the High Court.

Regarding the issue of the distribution of the properties, the matter currently on appeal is sub judice and as such our client clearly refrained and continues to refrain from speaking on same publicly, and we shall in good professional conduct entreat him to refrain from so doing.

“Lastly,in respect of your claim that our client has, by his conduct obstructed the course of justice, we state that the said claim is not only unjustified but also clearly imaginative, as our Client in no way made any statement prejudicial to the determination of the matters before the Court and even more did not disrespect or undermine the authority of the Court in any way.

I emphasize that our Client shall continue to adhere to due process and participate in all proceedings to ensure due determination is made in Court and not in the media and we also admonish you and your client to desist from further attempts to litigate this matter in the media and instead allow the Court to determine the issues before it.”
