According to her, the kinsmen are making the process extremely difficult for her and her fiancé by insisting that every item on the extensive list must be provided in full, or the marriage cannot proceed.
She expressed frvstration, pointing out that these demands come from extended family members like; umunna and umuada, whom she barely knows and who have played no direct role in her upbringing.
The lady questioned why her willing partner should face such financial barriers imposed by strangers, arguing that these excessive requirements are turning bride price into extortion and rv¡ning marriage prospects for many young women.
She warned that she would hold her kinsmen responsible and not take their actions lightly if the pressure ultimately causes her marriage to f4il.
