A Plus Insists The Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy Rivalry Should Continue

A Plus is not in favour of ending the long-standing rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy. He insists it should be left to run its course.

The Gomoa Central MP shared his stance during an interview with Elsie Lamar on GhanaWeb TV, where he described the situation as a useful dynamic within the entertainment space rather than a conflict that needs resolution.

“Yes, I think Shatta Wale’s feud with Stonebwoy should continue. Both of them are my friends, and I see value in everything,” he said.

He leaned on sports to make his point, suggesting that competition is built into how audiences engage with entertainment and should not always be smoothed over.

“Why should Kotoko and Hearts wake up one day and become friends? That’s life,” he stated.

From his perspective, the tension between the artistes is less about personal dislike and more about positioning and market appeal. Each camp draws strength from its loyal following, turning the rivalry into a commercial asset.

“They’re not real-life enemies. It’s the business that they’re doing. Shatta Wale has his fanbase, and Stonebwoy also has his, so that’s how they make money. Why do we want to end the feud?” he explained.

To drive the idea home, A Plus shared a story about a prolonged court case that sustained a family over the years, arguing that some situations persist because they serve a purpose.

“It’s like a lawyer whose son went to end a 20-year-old case. The case has been going on for twenty years, and this guy went to finish the case,” he said.

“He thought his father was going to say he had done, but he reacted otherwise. The father told him that he used the case to pay his school fees and made his life comfortable, so he decided to end it. Then he said they would have to go for a review.”

He also cautioned fans against getting too emotionally invested in what he views as a calculated showbiz dynamic.

“I think all this is show business, so they’re not enemies. When I see people trying to get involved in the fight, I always say it’s not that deep,” A Plus further stated.
