Following the death of Ernest Akushey, popularly known as Bahubali, the National Sports Authority (NSA) has suspended all boxing events across Ghana. Akushey passed away on Tuesday morning, less than two weeks after his September 12 bout against Jacob Dickson at the Bukom Boxing Arena, which ended in a stoppage due to internal bleeding. Two men remain missing after a canoe capsized on the Offin River near Achiase in the Atwima Mponua District on Thursday. The Ministry of Education has dismissed claims that the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Computerised School Placement System is for sale, following allegations circulating on social media. A post attributed to one Gertrude Adzo Boklo alleged that placement into Aburi Girls’ Senior High School costs GHC 5,000.
