Former Vice President of Ghana and 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will submit his nomination forms on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
The former vice president is expected to submit his forms at the party’s headquarters at exactly 8 am on Thursday.
He is expected to come in the company of his wife, leading members of his campaign team, and Members of Parliament who support his bid.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) opened nominations for persons interested in contesting for the flagbearership to pick their forms on July 29, 2025.
According to the party’s timelines, the final day for the filing of nominations is August 28, 2025.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will go to the polls on January 31, 2026, to elect a flagbearer who will lead the party in the 2028 election.
