In a remarkable demonstration of humility and commitment to public service, Prof. Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah, the Deputy Minister for Health, has once again given back to her community through a comprehensive free health outreach program.

This latest edition of her health initiative, held at Dr. Grace Mall in Essikado within the Essikado-Ketan constituency, focused on orthopedic and plastic surgery screenings. The exercise targeted conditions such as tumors, fractures, scars, contractions, and other related health complications.

The screening, which began at 8:00 a.m. and concluded at about 3:30 p.m., saw nearly 300 residents receiving free medical assessments and being scheduled for surgeries slated for Monday. Prof. Dr. Ayensu-Danquah, alongside her dedicated team of health experts, personally attended to constituents many of whom she referred to as clients underscoring her belief in providing dignified and compassionate health care.

As part of her philanthropic efforts, she also distributed assistive devices, including three wheelchairs two for women and one for a gentleman and a walking stick to persons living with disabilities. This act of kindness reflected her deep-seated passion for improving lives beyond the hospital setting.

Speaking during the event, the Deputy Minister reaffirmed her commitment to continuous health screenings and pledged to prioritize health infrastructure in the constituency. Plans are already underway to upgrade local health facilities, especially CHPS compounds, as part of the government’s broader goal to strengthen primary health care delivery.

Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah’s gesture goes beyond politics; it embodies true humility, compassion, and service to mankind. Her promise to make health care more accessible in Essikado-Ketan serves as a beacon of hope for many who have long yearned for quality medical services close to home.
