In the wake of the ongoing legal tussle surrounding Akosua Serwaa Fosuh’s legitimacy as the lawful wife of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, a new confirmation from the German Embassy in Accra appears to settle the matter.

A consular letter issued on October 27, 2025, by Susan Lüdtke, Second Secretary and Consul, officially confirmed that under German civil law, “there exists a valid marriage between Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, born in Nsuta, and Akosua Fosuh, maiden name Akosua Serwah, born in Kumasi.”

According to the Embassy’s correspondence, “The marriage was celebrated on 23.12.2004 in Bornheim, Germany in presence of the couple and is registered in the marriage registry office under the number E 142/2004.”

The statement further clarified that, “As far as the Embassy is aware of, the marriage has not been dissolved by divorce but ended with the decease of the husband on 26.07.2025.”

Attached to the Embassy’s confirmation is a certified copy of the said marriage certificate for reference.
