Nigerian Afrobeats singer Crayon has sparked major conversation across social media after posting a series of emotional and accusatory messages on X directed at his record label, Mavin Records, and its founder Don Jazzy. The tweets quickly went viral, with fans and industry observers trying to piece together the meaning behind the singer’s statements

In the posts, Crayon wrote a mix of emotional and confrontational messages, including lines such as “Don Jazzy na my boy,” “My mama die because of una,” and “Una wan use delay payment kill me.” The statements appear to suggest frustration over alleged delays in payments and deeper tensions within the label relationship, although the full context behind the claims has not been officially confirmed.

The singer, who joined the Mavin family in 2019 under Blowtime Entertainment, rose to prominence through the label’s ecosystem and collaborations with other artists in the collective. Over the years, the label has been home to some of Afrobeats’ biggest stars including Rema, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, and Johnny Drille.

As the tweets continue to circulate online, neither Crayon nor the Mavin camp has released an official detailed explanation regarding the allegations. For now, the situation remains a developing story, with fans across Nigeria and the wider Afrobeats community closely watching to see whether the artist and the label will address the claims publicly.
