Controversial dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has issued a defiant response to his recent arrest and detention by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), boldly declaring that he fears no one in Ghana and promising to acquire another Lamborghini within two months.
The self-proclaimed “Dancehall King” made these statements during a performance at the Osu Hydout Pub as part of the just-ended Osu Homowo Festival celebrations, just days after his release from EOCO custody.
In a video shared on social media, Shatta Wale paused midway through his performance to address the ongoing controversy surrounding his seized luxury vehicle and recent legal challenges.
“Masa, I don’t fear anybody in Ghana. Everybody’s mother! As I am standing here, I have boys who I live with in Osu and Labadi. I do music, and I do it the hard way,” the artiste declared to cheers from the audience.
He specifically warned that continued provocation would only motivate him to acquire more luxury vehicles: “They don’t want Ghanaian artistes to showcase what we have, but if they try me, I will buy another Lamborghini in the next two months.”
The artiste emphasized that both Lamborghinis he currently owns were purchased solely from proceeds generated through his music career, countering suggestions that might imply otherwise.
Shatta Wale’s latest comments come amid an ongoing investigation by EOCO into the ownership and acquisition of his luxury vehicles, which resulted in his recent arrest and temporary detention.
